Lagunaitas Olde GnarlyWine

2011 Bomber: Very nice copper pour with fluffy tan head. The kind of head that dimples in the center. Sweet malty aroma, with hints of orange, figs, & peaches. No really. Mouthfeel is superb. Viscous, sticky, smooth, and lingering. Flavors of fruit including raisinS, orange, sweetness of candi sugar, very well balanced hops, caramel, hint of alcohol and wood. I am amazed at the malt character in a fairly high-hopped brew. Tasted @ 62F.

The Annual Release of our BarleyWine Style Ale is Dated and Built to Last. Flavors Evolve as Hop Bitterness Yields to Crazy Caramel and Rich Toffee Flavors.
This brew went very well with my rendition of Szechwan Tofu & Sweet Potato Stew. Spicy, flavorful, and a nice dinner-buddy for GnarlyWine!
