Appel Herring in Tomato Mozzarella Sauce

I had this herring for lunch today.  By the look of the label you would assume that there would be at least one little ball of mozzarella in the can, but it was pureed into the sauce.  Maybe it started out as a ball when it left Germany- who knows-lol!  It tasted really good and reminded me of when the tomato and ricotta mix together in a really good lasagna.  The herring fillets themselves were firm, and of very good quality which you expect from Appel herring .  This is a good, inexpensive, low carb lunch.
