BridgePort Highland Ambush Scotch Ale

This was the first beer tasted last night just prior to a West Sound Brewers meeting, and I am very glad we tried it.
So I tasted this last night and have to say, I think this beer will develop very well. It's a bit brash right now, with very distinct flavors, that I think will mature and smooth out after a couple of years. It has an alcohol, oaky, & slightly vanilla nose, very nice tan head, and rather abrupt bourbon, wood, and sweet/vanilla flavors. All said, it is still medium to light bodied, scotch ale style, and although I would say it's not ready to drink yet, it is definitely ready to be bought and cellared.
