In Stock now!! Knorr Chicken and Beef cubes with NO MSG!!

You can now buy both the beef and chicken no msg Knorr Bouillon cubes at the Marina Market.  Knorr cubes and Instant Stock Mixes are easy to use, quick to dissolve and add rich deep flavour to your soups, stews, sauces, gravies and risottos.



They are made with Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Sea Salt.  If we can just find one with no corn syrup!

Ingredients: Sea salt, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, beef fat, sugar, corn syrup solids, beef flavour, water, hydrolyzed soy/corn/wheat protein, extra virgin olive oil, yeast extract, onion powder, dried vegetables (carrots, red bell pepper), potato starch, beef extract, spices & herb, dried parsley, colour, citric acid and sulphites.

 The Marina Market also carries Toro Norwegian and Knorr and Maggi German soup mixes.

    This product contains "hydrolyzed soy/corn/wheat protein" which itself contains MSG.

    False advertising.

  3. Absolutely, these are just a couple examples, there are plenty of other sources out there as well.

    The US government (USDA) explains in a round-about way that in the case of hydrolyzed protein, "the presence of MSG does not need to be disclosed on labeling" in the U.S.

    By comparison, the Canadian government encourages more transparency on labels in Canada, they state:

    Claims pertaining to the absence or non-addition of monosodium glutamate such as "contains no MSG", "no MSG added" and "no added MSG" are considered misleading and deceptive when other added sources of free glutamate are present (e.g., hydrolysed vegetable protein (HVP), hydrolyzed plant protein (HPP), hydrolyzed soy protein (HSP), soya sauce or autolysed yeast extracts).

  4. Knorr Ham stock cubes state no msg, ugh, wish I hadn't believed that, feeling really yucky today and then read the rest of the ingredients.........yeast extract, caramel..........
